Glass material: Plexi – części zegarmistrzowskie | dlazegarmistrza.live

Plexiglass, also known as hesalite or acrylic, is a type of plastic used in watches as a dial cover. Unlike mineral or sapphire glass, it is a softer and more flexible material, which gives it high impact resistance – it is difficult to break or shatter. For this reason, plexiglass was commonly used in watches produced in the second half of the 20th century and is still used in aviation, military, and vintage or retro models.
